Events, Tourism and Hospitality
The course provides a practical approach to the successful management of a wide range of events and activities in the tourism industry. It will be delivered to you around a variety of core subjects and option choices. Upon completion of the International Tourism Management and Events Management Joint Honours course you will be able to progress your career in the thriving and dynamic tourism and events industries.
Fashion starts with textiles, and during this exciting course you will learn how to develop a wide range of textile applications to enhance your fashion collections. You will also use applique and embroidery to embellish and enhance your garments, dyeing your own fabrics and yarns to create personalised colour combinations. Live projects and competitions provide you with real time industry experience, and the range of careers available include the textile, accessories and garment design sectors for high street and high-end markets.
This module will enable students to develop knowledge and skills in relation to key mental health related practice. The module will support transference of knowledge into enhancing the student’s professional practice and promoting the development of others.
You will select and attend 5 study days, all of which can be accessed as CPD stand alone days. In addition, the following content will also be provided:

History, International Relations and Politics
International relations deals with the nature of the changing relations between states and with non-state actors. It studies the functioning of the international system – the forces, factors and interests, the customs, rules, norms, institutions and organisations from which the theory and history of its development are formed.
Human Resource Management
Human Resource Management covers extant theory to bear on the topic as well as typical practices, which will be followed by a class that analyse specific case. Students will read one or two academic articles on the topic and one case before each day’s lecture and class.
Journalism and Media
The course is designed to introduce students to professional broadcast news writing. The Students are taken through the principles and techniques of broadcast journalism as well as some practical skills in Radio and Television production.
This Course is primarily concerned with English law, there are opportunities to study other legal systems, including civil (Roman) law, EU law and international law. You can also study theoretical and sociological aspects of law such as jurisprudence or parts of criminology.
This leather course provides a good understanding of all aspects of leather making. It will enhance your knowledge of leather and cover the basic fundamentals of leather and the leather production process. The improved understanding you will gain from this leather course will help you to avoid problems when sourcing and specifying leather products as well as providing confidence when dealing with suppliers, manufacturers and tanners.

This course provides a practical, management perspective of the following areas of logistics: distribution, transportation, international logistics, inventory control, sustainable logistics practices, key performance indicators, supply chain finance, leadership in a supply chain role, and an introduction to logistics technology including RFID and ERP systems. The course is designed for students who have had little or no previous coursework or professional experience in logistics.
